The Premier League’s Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel has officially backed the match officials’ decision not to award a penalty to Manchester United winger Amad Diallo during their recent fixture against AFC Bournemouth. Both the on-field referee and the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) were deemed to have made the correct call in rejecting United’s penalty appeal. The KMI Panel, which reviews controversial decisions from Premier League matches, concluded that the officials’ judgment was sound and in line with current football regulations.
